A public service announcement.

Don't warm up food in the oven while it is wrapped in newspaper.

[Good thing we just received a key to the porch door so that we have a second escape route in case of fire!]

About Me:

I started this blog with a fellow history graduate student when we were both living far from home: Amsterdam, The Netherlands and Ibadan, Nigeria. We wanted to stay in touch with each other, and because both of us share a love of cooking and baking we thought it would be a great subject for a blog about living abroad.
Life has changed a lot since then. I still live in Amsterdam, very far away from some of my co-blogger. Regan returned to Los Angeles and has taken a break from blogging for the time being. I try to keep up some semblance of order in this tiny corner of the internet by blogging periodically. When the blog began, it was about cooking and eating abroad, and to a large extent it still is. I've expanded the scope of the blog into some of the other aspects of life as an American expat.
